Most people, even if they play another instrument, are quite unfamiliar with the dulcimer. So even if they are attracted by the sound and would like to learn to play, they might be unsure if they could take it up. For this reason, we operate a rental scheme. For £40 per month, plus a £150 returnable deposit, you can rent a dulcimer (Acorn and Dulcette models only) for 2 months. This will help you decide if the instrument suits you. After this period, you can either buy your dulcimer, with the deposit and rental (total £230) deducted from the purchase price, or return the dulcimer in exchange for your deposit.
